The House of Representatives is a part of the Congress. The number of representatives from any state depends on the state's population. Thus if a state has more people, it has more representatives in the House of Representatives. The House of Representatives meets in the Capitol building in Washington, DC.

A representative to the House is elected and serves a two year term. At this point in time, a representative can serve an unlimited number of terms.

The Speaker of the House is the leader of the House of Representatives. The Speaker of the House is a member of the majority party which in this case is the Republican Party. He/she is chosen by the majority party members.
